Paint a Gourd at Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Preserve in Bernardsville

Now that spring is in the air, the Creative Hands Club invites you to the Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary in Bernardsville to paint your own gourd birdhouse for cavity nesting birds returning from their winter homes this spring. This workshop on Saturday, March 7 at 1pm will begin with a short presentation about gourds and how to grow them. Bonnie O’Connor, a retired art teacher, will demonstrate painting techniques and provide artistic assistance. All materials are provided. Cost is $12 members and $18 non-members. This workshop is the second in the Creative Hands Club series which features workshops that upcycle or use natural/sustainable materials to create beautiful additions to any home or garden.
