Community Event: Graffiti Exhibit at Morris Museum, Morristown

By Turpin Real Estate - December 30, 2019

Graffiti Artists Leave Their Mark on Morris Museum

A colorful new exhibit at the Morris Museum in Morristown showcases spray-painted murals by members of the Garden State’s graffiti scene. Twelve vibrant tags (letter-based graffiti) and caricatures were spray-painted directly onto the once-pristine walls of the museum’s main gallery for the exhibit “Aerosol: Graffiti | Street Art | New Jersey | Now,” on display through March 15.

The museum’s chief curator, Ron Labaco, along with co-curator and Trenton street artist Will Kasso Condry, gave creative liberty to participating aerosol artists including 4sakn, Acet TM7, Dave Mek One Klama, Dean Ras Innocenzi, Demerock, Distort, Elan, Felipe Prox One Rivas, Jonathan Conner (LANK), Leon Rainbow and Maliq Griffin. Each is a contributor to New Jersey’s dynamic graffiti scene.

Founded in 1913, the Morris Museum explores and celebrates the arts, sciences and humanities in its exhibitions, educational programs, special events and performing arts in their Bickford Theatre. The museum is located at the corner of Columbia Turnpike on Normandy Heights Road. For additional information on this event visit the link provided HERE
